For the best comedy festival, line-up show / comedy night / comedy room. This award is open to all promoters who have created shows for a live audience. 

The nominees will be shortlisted by the comedy industry, then this category goes out for public voting.

ENTRY CRITERIA:

Do you produce comedy festivals, line-up shows, or do you host a comedy night that does exceptionally well? We’re talking hugely popular, with a great turn out and rave reviews from the media. Then this category is for you.

Qualifying Conditions:

  • This category is for stand-up line-up shows/rooms only. Not for individual tours.
  • Entry timeline: Any show that took place between September 2024 and October 2025.
  • You’ll need to have signed a venue lease, sold tickets through a professional ticketing service and have had a marketing campaign.  
  • This category is open for all languages, but for South African Comedians only. 

What to submit:

  • Your show poster.
  • In the description, please write a short paragraph on telling us why you should win. You can include your key achievements, such as the number of shows, tickets sold, attendees, social media reach, press reviews etc.

What the industry’s looking for when judging: 

  • As with all the categories, we have comedians voting for comedians.
  • When it comes time to vote, you can only vote once per category.
  • We trust that you’ll vote for the show/festival/room that you LOVE, and that you were actually there to experience it.
  • Vote for the one that stood out the most, not necessarily on how many shows the festival had, or how many seats were filled, as line-up shows have a different capacity to festivals.
