Now in its 11th year, The Savanna Comics’ Choice Comedy Awards celebrates SA’s best comedians.
It’s called ‘Comics’ Choice’, because comedians vote for comedians – they review the entries and choose who gets nominated.
Four of the 12 categories go out for public voting once the nominees are announced in February 2024.
The awards? Think of them as the Oscars, but for those brave souls who chose punchlines over poignant pauses. Established to benefit the comedy industry, the awards give recognition to those who choose comedy as their career, and ensure that SA’s comedy scene is recognised as globally competitive, healthy and thriving.
We bring the entire industry together to celebrate their peers and we want everyone else to celebrate them too.
